South Main Gunnison (SMG) is a living ecosystem—a place of re-creation, renewal, and remembrance. Rooted in the heart of the Western Slope, SMG is an experimental cultural zone where people come to live, work, and grow in relationship with land, materials, and one another. It is a place where creative culture is not just supported, but vital—where we remember what matters, and where the mother—the matter—matters.
We envision a future built on self-organizing systems, collaborative economies, and regenerative design. SMG exists to nourish the roots of a new kind of community: one that is interconnected, interdependent, and continuously evolving.
